OUR SOLUTIONS
The complete solution for the rehabilitation of sewer systems in buildings
Rehabilitation of a building’s sewer system has traditionally involved acute inconvenience for tenants. Buildings must either be evacuated or the tenants must live among noise and dust while the renovation work is ongoing.
Those types of building workplaces often consist of different environmental dangers, such as asbestos and lead. However, dealing with many of those inconveniences can be completely avoided by renovating the original pipes from the inside instead of replacing them.
When using the patented Repiper® tools and the StepbyStep method neither the floors nor the walls have to be broken up, which minimizes disturbance. The entire process only takes a few days and is carried out at a fraction of the price compared to traditional methods.
The end CIPP product has a certified expected service life of at least 40 years and the result is a new tightly sealed and self-supporting pipeline system within the old one, with no seams risking water infiltration between the host pipe and CIPP liner!
OUR ADVANTAGES
Key advantages compared to traditional methods
Affordable setup costs
Low-risk mistakes are manageable & affordable
Less disturbance for tenants
Less waste
Same life expectancy as a new pipe
STEP 1
Lining the
Vertical Sewer Stack
Beginning from the bottom, a sectional liner, impregnated with a thermo setting plastic, is pulled in place in the stack utilizing air pressure and steam. The liner is placed below the first horizontal tie in. Once the liner is in place and the plastic cures, it results in a first smooth standalone pipe section within the old one. Similar to the beginning of building a new sewer stack.
STEP 2
Lining the
Branch Joint
Pipe joints are one of the sewer systems most vulnerable points and they are often the cause of leakages. By using a T-shaped liner and a patented insertion tool the branch pipe is strengthen, as well as overlapping the previous vertical liner, leaving a seamless connection between the horizontal and vertical pipes. No lips against the flow of water.
STEP 3
Lining the
Branch Line
The branch line is renovated by combining the techniques of the soil stack lining and the branch pipe lining. The dimensions of the pipe in the branch line are normally smaller than in the rest of the sewage system. Therefore, lining the branch line calls for careful planning and good craftsmanship to ensure a high quality result. Repipers Red hot backshooter is an excellent tool that makes it convenient and cost efficient to line those short and tight sections of pipe, overlapping the T-shaped liner from the vertical tack.
STEP 4
Lining the
Main Drain
When the building’s sewage system has been rehabilitated the work is completed by lining the main drain, which runs through the building to the city’s sewage network. Main drains are often affected by ground settings, dislocations and the encroachment of tree roots. This leads to leakage of unclean waste water into the groundwater unless properly main- tained. Repiper has a lot of knowledge and experience to help you and your customers streamline this process. It should not be the same costly process as lining in the street, manhole to manhole.
