STEP 1

LINING A
VERTICAL SEWER STACK

Starting from the bottom, a sectional liner, impregnated with a thermo-setting plastic, is installed in the stack using air pressure and steam. The liner is placed below the first horizontal tie in. Once the liner is in place and the plastic sets, this will result in a smooth standalone pipe section in the old section, similar to the start of building a new sewer stack.

STEP 2

LINING A
BRANCH JOINT

Pipe joints are one of the most vulnerable points of a sewer system are often the cause of leakages. By using a T-shaped liner and a patented insertion tool the branch pipe is reinforced and also overlaps, the original vertical liner, leaving a seamless connection between the horizontal and vertical pipes. There are no lips the flow of water.

STEP 3

LINING A
BRANCH LINE

A branch line is renovated by combining the techniques of soil stack lining and branch pipe lining. The dimensions of the pipe in a branch line are normally smaller than in the rest of the sewage system. Thus, lining the branch line calls for careful planning and good craftsmanship to ensure a high quality finish. Repipers Red hot backshooter is an excellent tool that makes it convenient and cost effective to line short and tight sections of pipe, overlapping the T-shaped liner from the vertical stack.

STEP 4

LINING A
MAIN DRAIN

Once the building’s sewage system has been renovated the work is completed by lining the main drain, which runs through the building to the city’s sewage network. Main drains are often affected by ground settlement, dislocations and the encroachment of tree roots. This leads to the leakage of wastewater into the groundwater unless properly maintained. Repiper possesses considerable knowledge and experience to help you and your customers streamline this process. It should not be the same costly process street lining, on a manhole-to-manhole basis.
